Continuing on from my previous post. Day 2 of our leave, we decided to go to Sausalito. The weather was great too and I got to actually see and be on the golden gate bridge lol. This was my first time despite being here for quite a while now.
For lunch in Sausalito, we went to Fish. It was a nice restaurant which serves the basic sandwiches, salads, etc. The view there was great too overlooking the bay. We ordered a crab roll, the saigon salmon sandwich, a tuna salad with beans and the ice tea.
The crab roll was yummy! They kept the original taste of the crab with hints of butter. There was a lot of fries too. The Saigon salmon sandwich was pretty good too. You can actually ask for it to be cooked however you want (med-rare, cooked etc). My husband got it medium rare and it was just perfect. It was a grilled and a bit burnt on the outside but the inside was rare. Tasted pretty good even though I don’t like salmon.
The tuna salad with beans was just alright. The portion was big but it tasted really weird. Maybe we are just not used to the taste. It didn’t taste bad, just weird. Not something that I’ve ever tasted before lol.
After the lunch, we just walked around the pier for a bit and then headed to the Bay Model visitor center. Its free entrance for anyone. The bay model models the whole bay area delta system. Its actually the size of 2 football fields!
We got to watch a short clip on how the water system in the delta’s work too and some basic information about the water ecosystem. I guess overall it was an interesting thing to experience at least once but I wouldn’t go out of the way to visit it but if you are in the area, it wouldn’t hurt to just drop by.
That’s all we did for the day. Took us about 3 hrs in total. Pictures of our day below. Enjoy!
